The two other lads will possibly get an higher sentence. What are they all being charged with. Are they all being charged with sct 18 (2 counts) or have they been charged with a lesser offence. It goes off the charge. Just because your boyfriend as been charged with sct18 they could be charged with sct 20 or even sct 47 - ABH.

You need to state what they have been charged with also. It doesn;t look good either cos it looks like a group attack.

hi, one of the lads has been convicted with sct 18 2 counts, and the other has jus been convicted of sct 18 one count.
yh it was a group attack. but as much as i would want 2 stick up for my b/f i cant because it was a very horrible attack, i just want to no will they all b sentenced the same??? or will the judge look at them in his own light?
thanks alot busta for replying, it's really horrible that im going through this but i have a choice wether 2 go throu it or not...u havent wif ur son.
how long does he have left?
They will all be sentenced seperatly depending upon what part they took in the crime. The people with the two accts of sct 18 will more than likely receive a bigger sentence than the one count. But because the other two have previous they should receive a bigger sentence especially if they previous crimes were for a similiar charge.

My son was charged with a sct 47 - ABH (this does not normally carry a custodial sentence in itself) but was convicted and sentenced to 30 months (because of his previous conviction of sct 18). He will serve 15 months of that sentence and is due out Xmas Eve 2008. So as you can see - the two that have previous will receive quite a tougher sentence than my son because he was only charged with sct 47 and they have been charged with sct 18. My son was sentenced to 42 months for the sct 18, you partner could be looking at 4 years and the other two could be looking at an IPP.

I am not a legal person i am only going from personal experience, so this may not be exact. My sons partner is waiting for him and i hope you feel that you can do the same at this time. I do understand that ti is hard for you, but it is his first offence and hopefully he will learn his lesson. Prison does change some people - it did change my son, he was set up by a person who he knocked about with nefore he went into prison the 1st time and because he would have nothing to do with him when he cam out he made his life hell.
