Probably not - are they doing a CRB check? If not then they should be and if they are, they will find out.
dont declare it. under the rehabilitation act you do not need to as the sentence has been 'spent'

if you got a custodial sentence you have to declare it for 7 years. if probabtion, hdc, community service it is 5 years.

Mmmmmmm surreylass, perhaps a little hasty there.

If he will bodyguard or do CP work in the UK, then he will need SIA registration.

I believe all convictions whether spent or not must be declared. More so convictions of violence!!!

philoneill1, just declare it. The fact you have been clean for 10 years will probably go in your favour. It will show you have learnt your lesson etc.

I have worked with some CP trainers in the past, and I can assure you it will be down to your temperment NOW. They couldn't give a monkies if you have a recent conviction for chicken fiddling. If you're the right man for the job, it will not matter.

Good luck with the position.

if it isnt on the form dont put it on there !!

i work for the m.o.d. i have a conviction from 1977, was told if it was found & i had not told them it would be thought i had something to hide! put it on the sheet you have nothing to hide it's spent
good luck with the job
