ending maintenance payments

just wondered if anybody could tell me how to find out when to end maintenance payments for a child if the payments are though a court order not the csa,my child will be 16 in a few weeks and i have no idea if he is still in full time education as he lives in another part of the country and i unfortunatly have no contact,
will the courts get in touch with me or his mother at all to find out if hes still at school etc.

who can i contact to find out myself if hes at school etc ?

id go to whatever solicitor dealt with your case at the time and id be asking which area of the country your payments were being paid [thats if you dont know of course] but your first port of call should be the solicitor who dealt with your case at the time the court order was made.not much help i know mate but just a bit of practical advice i guess.good luck and fair play to you for paying for your child even though you have no contact................
