Wifes stp father died, wifes mother died some 3 years later, wife receives a payout after her mothers death for her step fathers claim for vibration white finger. Is his son, my wifes step brother entitled in law to the money.

We have not heard from his son in over 7 years, nor was he around when my wife was looking after then both.

Harry.

If your mil left a will leaving everything to your wife, then the step son has no claim to anything. When I claimed for my father working in the mines (both he and my mum had died) they asked if my mum had left a will and, as she had, the money was divided as instructed.
