How does one go about removing a name from the house deeds only and not the mortgage and is this possible without lenders involvement as mortgage details and names would remain unchanged.
Any help /guidance would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
kind regards

Not possible.
only by mutual consent, surely. But is this part of a settlement?
really a leagal issue on a breakup etc.
If you consider 'removing a name from the deeds' (seems a favourite euphemism on AB for some reason) actually means 'taking ownership away from', you'll understand why it ain't simple. In some circumstances it would be theft.

It's certainly not possible without the lender's involvement.

Many thanks to all who replied.
My husband is in full agreement to this step and we thought that as mortgage etc would not be changing this was something that was just a matter of getting a form from the Land Registry and that would be that.
Why is nothing in life simple.....
Thank you all once again
Kind regards

Well maybe a little more explanation as to the reasons would help to give a better reply i.e. why are you considering doing this ? If it is that he wants you to be the sole owner, then it would be best to take your name off the mortgage too otherwise you would be liable in case he defaulted on the payments.
We don't know the reasons or circumstances for your wanting to do this, but have a look at this for a cautionary tale.
