Hi.
Im getting chest pains when i wake up in the monring. I have very mild asthma but its not the same type of pain. It feels like someone has been sat on my chest all night and it aches all the next day like bruising.
Any ideas what this could be or what i could do? I cant currently go to the doctors about this as I am a nursing student on placement and work 9-5 and will get marked absent if i take time off for an appointment.
Thanks
Beki

Hi Beki, if youre a nursing student Id have thought youd have more resources than on here to help you!!

Anyhow, I used to get chest pains as you describe in the mornings and it turns out it was heartburn - probably in my case caused by eating all the wrong foods and drinking too much too close to bedtime although I believe things like stress etc can cause it.
I cured mine by watching what I ate and drank - not drinking fizzy stuff or wine or eating spicy foods too late and making sure I had a few water based drinks before bed.

Id strongly suggest you see a Doctor though - there must be a few around you!?
Good luck - hope you feel better.
Could be pleurisy. I had it earlier this year and thought my time was up. Get to the doctor!!!
