I work as a financial administrator in a residential home, and we were sold in April to a much smaller company and TUPE across. I have worked since 2019 with no illness etc. the manager and myself have a proven track record no debt, high occupancy. I keep a tight ship admin wise. They changed my role and wanted me to do all the invoices and finance / ordering etc for all five homes whilst comfy to do admin for my home. I tried but it was too much.. so in Sept I asked to halve my hours and solely do the admin for my home.. I have today been told that I am to relocate to another home, and do the admin there and invoices for all homes!! The new home is nursing and involves more work, and work areas I do not know - I have not been issued with a new contract and my previous contract states I work at this home. I asked what if I don’t want to and I didn’t get an answer. Where do I stand, if I don’t want to? I am to give my answer Monday. What are my tights if any? Thanks

I really would suggest giving ACAS a call, they will give the best advice.

Yes, ACAS are surprisingly helpful in my experience.
Definately contact ACAS as the fact that you have no new contract and there wasn't an answer to your question, makes me think there is a lack of HR expertise at this company.

You have protected employment under TUPE but only to a certain extent. The alternative to relocating might be suggested as redundancy so you absolutely need to make sure you have some support with this.

The ACAS phone line is the best palce to start.

Thanks all - ACAS contacted and I have four options.. 1: go along with it 2: go to other home and send a letter stating I am working under protest, and continue to state that I am 3: refuse to leave my current place and state my contract states I work here - this is volatile and they can refuse me access - dismiss me - which would be unfair dismissal 4: resign
Do you belong to a union? Working in the care industry I would hope you are. If you aren't I would suggest joining one.
I had reason to involve my union in a work dispute and they were more than helpful. They supplied a representative to accompany all meetings.
I think their lack of reply shows they know they are on a dodgy footing.
Personally, I would stand my ground.
if it is us or ACAS - go with ACAS
but you kinda really knew that
