Case of no win no fee lost in Spanish Courts.......details above.

I have now been presented with a bill for 10, Euros for costs incurred in the appeal.

1) Do I ignore email asking for settlement?
2) I have been give 20 days to reply otherwise court proceedings in a Spanish Court.
3) How would the Spanish Legal System enforer the payment now I am resident in the UK?

Seek legal advice. ASAP.

They will enforce by using the High Court. Spain is subject to a convention which will allow cross border enforcement.

Did the no-win, no-fee lawyers you originally instructed advise you that you could end up paying costs? Were you backed by an insurance policy? If not, you are up for the costs. You need some legal advice - from a different firm!!!!
Ah! now then, that changes things. Get yourself a Spanish lawyer, and hope for the best.

Thanks barmaid......all this was roughly 2 years ago and I cannot remember if I was covered by an insurance.

Looks as though I will have to pay up.
