Hi Ab'ers, I am travelling abroad next July, just taken out travel insurance with Staysure. I have declared medical conditions for heart treatment etc, but forgot to declare tinnitus for which I'm being treated for and slight hearing loss. Would I need to add it to the policy which throws an admin fee at you for changing. Anyone know if it's ok to leave as is? TIA.

I am probably too compliant but I would let them know. It is very unlikely to result in a claim but if you have to claim for other reasons and they discover a condition that has not been declared they could refuse to pay out.
if you google the question, it seems it does have to declared.

Thanks both, will bite the bullet and tell them tomorrow in that case. I do wonder if they'd trawl my records to find a reason not to pay despite it probably having nothing to do with what I may need to claim for. Thanks again.
You are doing the right thing in telling them. Any excuse not to pay up and they'll grab it with both hands
I think they will say they don't cover any medical conditions that you haven't declared.

I can't imagine a situation where you would claim for tinnitus.
The thread's a bit old but the topic is timeless. Planning a trip abroad is always exciting! I hope your July adventure went well.
Regarding your travel insurance with Staysure, it's essential to be transparent about your medical conditions to ensure you have the right coverage. Even if it's been three years since your post, it's still worth considering updating your policy to include your tinnitus and slight hearing loss. Being honest about your health ensures that you're fully protected during your travels.
