When you pay pension contributions you get tax relief on said contributions.
People who do not earn enough to pay tax but pay pension contributions miss out on the tax relief.
What do they want? Do they want compensation for missing out?

The article went on a bit and was not very clear to a simpleton like me!
It's a bit like our U3A. We usually have a Christmas party with outside caterers. We sell the tickets but we subsided the cost to members. Some members complained that as they were not attending the party they were missing out on the subsidy. So we had to stop subsidising the tickets.
And the point is?
Some will complain for the sake of it Caran, I just keep me head down and plod on.
