As has been indicated above, it's the sentence that matters, not the offence.
However your offence is definitely now 'spent' except for those types of employment (or voluntary activities) where offences can never become spent. (e.g. work with children, vulnerable adults or in the administration of justice, as well as applications for taxi licences, etc).
Remember also that the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act doesn't apply outside of the UK. So if, for example, you're seeking to travel to the USA you'll be ineligible to travel under the Visa Waiver Program, so you'll have to go through the tedious process of applying for a visa (which involves getting hold of a copy of your police record and attending an interview in London).
