Because they want to check that you are a bona fide resident.
I'm a bit confused now. Are you a British Citizen?

According to this you are

A Marriage Visitor Visa is designed for people who simply want to get married in the UK, irrespective of whether either of them is a UK citizen. (e.g. a couple from Australia or the USA might simply like the idea of having a marriage ceremony in a British stately home or castle). The granting of such a visa is totally unconnected to either partner's right of residence in the UK:

If you wish to remain in the UK after your marriage, a Marriage Visitor Visa isn't the one you need. You should apply for a Family Visa:

Most countries, including the UK, only accept visa applications from people who're outside of the country. However I note (from my second link above) that there's an online process available for people who're already in this country, so perhaps you could use that?

When you've been married for 5 years (and living in the the UK) you can then apply for indefinite leave to remain here.
Are you asking on behalf of the Moroccan visitor whose visa application you have asked about a few times?

Who we are is irrelevant the questions are being posted for answers. Either answer if you choose or don't ask questions back.
Well as you have very recently asked other questions about the visitor visa which we helped you with i think it's helpful for us to understand what's going on here. Moreover, your question doesn't square with your previous posts (you were a UK citizen on the other) so it's not surprising we are not sure what's going on
I was going to post something possibly useful and pertinent but you're so rude I won't bother.
I don't understand why my post has been removed when I asked a perfectly, logical question.
There’s a lot of strange zapping going on - I had a post removed for something completely innocuous
I was wondering that- I didn't know it was you Tilly but I recall you just queried the details as on the OP's other post he was a UK citizen.
Neither do I, Tilly. It was a pertinent question.
Yes, that's right. The OP previously said that they were a UK citizen.
For people who may be confused, I've added to one of the OP's earlier visa threads - Moroccan Visiting Uk.
Thanks - I noticed that and it backs up tilly’s point
I'm off. Can't be bothered with all this load of cobblers.
Gosh, it's worse than being at school.
Do not answer back!!!! Cheek of it.
The removed answer deserved a reply so abers would know how to reply rather than waste their time.
As Tilly's question has remained deleted, are we now to assume that the editorial team agree with the moderator's decision to remove it? As those who saw it plus Tilly herself, say it was pertinent question, I had hoped the post would be reinstated. In my opinion the decision not to does not reflect well on AB.
This must be a first for Tilly.
I expect this post may well be deleted.
Thanks for your support, LB. It is much appreciated.
No problem Tilly. I like things to be fair and this wasn't and isn't. x
