Jezza Cor byn Laden ?
what would be wrong with calling him Mr Corbyn? It's his name. It's daft watching MPs calling each other "my right honourable friend" when they hate each other.
He has not attended the Privy Council yet but once he has done so, the title can be used so it's not as if he will NEVER be a Rt. Hon. Member.
Mr.Corbyn seems about right. Whether you like him or not, it respects his position as a democratically (almost) elected leader of an accepted political party.

I agree with the sentiment about the "My Honourable Friend" conkers. Isn't it about time Parliament and it's hangers on upgraded to the 21st Century?
Mr Corbyn will do just fine as a term of address.
Perhaps they should address him as Mr Brittan until that odious creep Watson issues a full and meaningful apology.
"My right honourable friend" is used because they are not allowed to call each other a liar. In doing so they would be telling the truth thus contravening parliamentary etiquette.
They could indeed call him .. Mr Corbyn
Do I get best answer?
Oh damn my ingenious suggestion I see has already been thought of :-)

Yes we know, as we have also read the report.
Corbyn has been the Honourable Gentleman for Islington North for the past 32 years, so that is what he should continue to be addressed as.

There are plenty of Shadow Cabinet members who are not Rt. Hons. There are plenty of Conservative Government Ministers who are not Rt. Hons.

As Corbyn does not give a toss about the stupid Honours System, I doubt he will be losing any sleep about this.
Personally, I am in favour of the courtesies of the House.

I think courtesy, and correct address of individuals in public life is important - it provides the continuity of tradition.

I also admire Mr Corbyn's ability to maintain his principles, something sadly lacking in some of his colleagues in the House.

I would suggest that ' Mr Corbyn' would be appropriate - as befits not only has status as an MP, but as a mature individual, it is a courtesy that should be extended to any adult man.

Calling him 'Corbyn' infers his suposed inferiority to the person addressing him, and in modern society, he has very few actual 'superiors'.

Those that are of a higher social status would no doubt address him as 'Mr Corbyn' because, as advised, that is simply good manners.
Except of course it means he is not privy to secret information so wont actuaally be able to do his job.

Mind you I reckon giving the pinko secret information is a very dangerous thing to do. He'll be straight off to his Moscow, IRA or ISIS mates.
ANOTHEOLDGIT, as you have read the article you will know he is to be addressed as an Honorable Member so what was the point of your question?
Honourable even...
How about Comrade Corbyn or Brother Jeremy? He'd probably quite like that.
Yob,
It was Cameron who wanted to join the Syrian War on the side of the Syrian Rebels. He didn't seem too concerned about ISIL, Al-qaeda and Al-Nursa making up the majority of the rebels. If you are going to throw the traitor card, look closer to home.
Apologies, genuine typo. That should have be Ymb not yob.
Of course Gromit ;-)

Not quite the same thing though is it. I agree Cameron was wrong and I never supported that but it was more because of overthrowing a tyrant rather than having ISIS sympathies.

And I dont recall Cameron backing the IRA or Moscow?

YMB - //Mind you I reckon giving the pinko secret information is a very dangerous thing to do. He'll be straight off to his Moscow, IRA or ISIS mates.//

Apart from the fact that your statement is based on your own personal prejudice, and has no basis in fact - it is libellous, and really not helpful in a debate.
How about 'Lord High Telegram Reader'. I hear he's using that cunning stunt at PMQ's,,,,,again.
