Contact the police officer dealing with the case Lucy.
You can't change the statement once you have made and signed it, you will be able add to it and say you made a mistake due to the stress, and give the correct version.

Could I get into trouble for this?
No trouble, these things happen in this type of case.
The alternative is perjury which is a criminal offence.

CPs wil still continue with case on terms of domestic violence
If you made a msitake in a statement you should declare it
and no for a mistake there is no penalty

You certainly have the idea that making official statements you should tell the truth....

and no there is no perjury as you did not intend to deceive...
yes you could get into trouble as you describe aggravating factors which were false. they may believe you if you say you were very stressed, but that now you have thought about it you have more clarity about who was where doing what.....but it is up to you to decide whether you do the right thing. you could ruin your partner's life with this allegation, access to his child in the future and destroy any chance of reconciliation with him - so think very carefully before you act and get things right in your own mind before approaching the police with this. they should be, and i hope they are sympathetic to your situation, but there are no guarantees. good luck x
