I'm rather perturbed, reading the goings on I can see on a Facebook page of a family member.
The person believes they have closed their page down to prying eyes...they have, except for "Groups" they chat on.

I know people can pretend to be anything they want on the web, and engage in all sorts of shaninikins..via web cams etc!!

Without going into more detail, I am quite worried for the other half of the long term marriage.

I'd like to make the person aware I have seen the page but am not sure its the right thing to do.

Any opinions would be welcome.

Keep out of it !..allow them what could be sheer escapism and fantasy !
Yes. Keep your distance. Don't get involved. If you do get involved, and something goes wrong, you will be public enemy number one.
What relation are the two people to you? I would keep well out, although if the person affected wasn't best friend/sister, i would let them know.
I agree. You weren't meant to see it. Nobody knows what goes on behind closed family doors - don't do anything.
...was my...
certainly don't tell the other half.

As to the offending half... well, I once found a colleague sending highly libellous emails via the office system unaware they could be read by anyone who knew about the folder that contained copies of absolutely everything. I told him of its existence, without specifically mentioning his emails, and he went rather pale... but boy, was he grateful.

If you think your family member doesn't know their posts can be seen by others, and should know, perhaps you could try the same thing. Don't sound judgemental or mention your worries, just say "did you know..."

Then never mention it again.
What is shaninikins?
is it shananigans with a posh accent?
If you can see the groups, so can the other half.......

The other half doesn't use the internet at home. She has to use it all day at work and switches off when shes at home.

The offending person is making a right pratt of himself. Its getting way too serious now I am thinking he is preparing to up sticks to go "abroad" without a kiss my ar*e of goodbye leaving the wife in debt.

He's a bit of a dumbass if he's not realised, unless closed, most groups are set to public.
If it were me, I would keep out of it, but then it would depend on how close a family member they were.

Are we talking immediate family?
If you really feel you must intervene print off the pages and send it to her anonymously. Cowardly, yes I suppose but if you really think he'll leave her in a load of debt then she needs to know.

Very dumbass...very immediate family!!

I have copy and pasted it for reference should it get deleted.
I'm assuming it's your brother in-law or something then, which in that case I would most definitely speak up.
I agree with 'no one knows what goes on behind closed doors', but if it's your sister then I most definitely think you should speak up... sensitively.

Thanks baby_sham. Its even closer than that!

I have spoken up and not heard back..I didn't expect to. I soo so hate seeing someone I care about very much being treat so badly.

That person, to my knowledge isn't aware just yet and I won't be telling, but the s*it will hit the fan any time now.

My own flesh and blood is behaving very badly indeed. I know many will disagree with me there is a lot I can't and wouldn't post on a forum.

Thanks for your comments. It's good to be able to talk.
Oh Sugar, it's your brother!? :-/

Hmm, I would point it out to him that you know, without a doubt.
