This bit made me chuckle...

// Ronald Thwaites QC said jurors should not find in the comedian's favour.
And he said if jurors thought that Mr Boyle had been libelled they should show their ''contempt'' by awarding damages of 45p - the price of a copy of the Daily Mirror. //

The Jury awarded him a total of £54,650 damages.

Shocking decision. That sphincter makes me ashamed (nearly) to be a Scotsman.
it seems he can dish it out but cannot take it, he's just pulled out of a show at a local theatre for personal reasons, so muh for his saddo fans.

I will be interested to see which charities he gives the money to.
Fair do's, I don't believe he is a racist. Seems the right verdict to me.

Nice gesture my arse, it was a double indemnity. He takes on an institution and has a "get-out" by offering to give the money to charity. Much like a certain footballer's testimonial? And we're still waiting for that one?
Just interested to see whether they're charities for disabled children, abused children or missing children, for example ...
