Deed of easement

I have a deed of easement, (Drains) with a private nursing home next to my house. I am planning to put a direct connection to main drains, and will not need the deed of easement. Should I ask the nursing home to buy the release of easement?

well if the property will no longer need it because you are putting in a direct connection, i can't imagine it being worth much......
I think as woof says you may like to ask yourself what the advantage is to the nursing home, which would be reflected in any offer made. They may claim abandonment if you have no intention of ever using the old drain again and you permanently disconnect from their drain.
I can't understand what you are thinking of. The easement is in your favour - it gives you the right to connect to their drains. I assume it also includes provisions for you to share any maintenance costs. If it does, you need to do something about bringing it to an end, as otherwise you could be hit with a demand for costs at some future time. Also, you want it removed from your land registry entry.

None of this (it seems to me) means the easement has any value to the nursing home. In fact ending it might disadvantage them, as maintenance costs would no longer be shared.
