I have just read that £113,000, seized in 2009 by the police under the Proceeds of Crime Act, has disappeared from secure storage.
Can anybody remind me what money seized under this act was to be used for and does three years not seem a long time for it to be in storage?

Was it cash ? If so why not invested in a bank - oh, err, yes I understand..........
It seems that someone else has decided to look after it. Secure storage should mean a numbered bank account. Yes??

Or my spare room, AYG, if they`re short of space.
So not some one in the old bill stealing it then?

`Has been stolen` the report says micmak. I`m just really curious as to why it was in storage for so long and how much else is stored away
