Last Sunday I bought a mobile phone wallpaper through 02 Active.
£2 was duly took in payment for which I received a text message telling me this. Now today ANOTHER £2 has been took. followed by the same text message.
I rang O2 and they said there was nothing they could do and that I should cancel with the company concerned...cancel what?..I did not subscribe to anything, just bought the one wallpaper.

There is a phone number number with the text and an email address, tried ringing but it went to a voicemail so emailed, fully expecting it to be returned undelivered but have had an automated reply with a Ticket ID...they will get back to me....fingers crossed they do!!!
The chap at O2 told me that this company will keep taking money whilst I have credit in my phone....eek!!!

Has anyone out there had a simliar experience and how did they resolve it?

You usually have to text STOP to the company you ordered the wallpaper from. They should have sent you a text explaining that.
Try texting back to the number they texted you from.
often the small print states that you are actually sibscribing to a service...

a
text stop to them
I have heard of this before, parents concerned that their kids have subscribed without realising usually, but I guess anyone can be caught out.

Best not to top up on that SIM for a while then.

I have done that now..to the number that the text came from.
I have had those telling me to send "STOP",to discontinue receiving whatever they are texting me about but this does not.
Let`s see if it does the trick.

Thanx

How can these people get away with this????
They have no website...email address is to momac.net

Will wait now and see what happens.
Looking at their website it appears momac may be a service provider that other companies use to reach your mobile. It's not 100% clear to me though.

Best of luck.
I accidentally got myself signed up to some sort of game on my mobile, which costs £3 a month. I went into an Orange shop, and a lovely young man sorted it out for me. Worth a try! (I did, however, lose the first £3 they deducted off my phone balance)

I, too ,found that website,Old Geezer, but of no use to me as you could see.
However, had reply this morning,by email, saying that I had downloaded the wallpaper again yesterday???? but that they do not usually take payment for a second downloading(of the same ) so to send my address and a refund of £2 will be sent by cheque,Would it not have been easier to have just refunded back to my phone...still I am happy to know that they are "bona fide"
I will be very careful in future.!!!!
It does beg the question though as to why anyone needs 'wallpaper' for a telephone!
Try texting STOP to the number.
