hi, recently my son accused me of kicking him in the stomache obviously social services got involed and took my child from me, i am getting charged with common assualt although i have not done anything wrong, in my interview i have admited to play fighting as that is wot my son enjoys doing with me bt neva hurting him to my knowledge, i have been told i could be facing 6mnths it is my first offence and on the medical investigation of my son it shows no signs of physical assualt could i still get 6mnths?

If there's no medical evidence it would just be his word against yours. I doubt if this would even get to court.

Im very surprised this is being dealt with in court unless you are known to Social Services.Best to be honest and give full facts if you want advice here as sometimes its like drawing teeth to get the full facts in order to offer help-i'm sure you understand.

5th november to a school teacher i have had to leave the family home to leave him with his mum the police told me if it was just there choice they wouldnt have charged me bt the social worker pushed for it she doesnt like me because i waasnt impressed when she told me she was taking him from me

it is the first time i have had any involment with social services no need for me to lie on ere no 1 knows me i am telling you everything i need to know all i am getting told is because my son in sticking to his story that is why they are able to take it further

Was this prior to this event, or because of it ?

Is you son hurt? Perhaps he always feel hurt or pain after you've 'played' with him, and is always scared of you to tell you his actual feelings.

the first time i met the social worker was when she banged on my door to informe me my son had been taking out of school to attend a medical at hospital and a police interview as he had accused me of kicking him and that e would have to have alternative care for a while or stay with family so i had my say thats y she dont like me

my son is very sensitive if i had hurt him e would tell me and cry e cant hide things when he is hurt

its nt the 1st time e has accused some1 for something they havent done e did it with a family member and told me they slapped him really hard round the face lukily they had witnesses to befend there story and eventually e admited he had lied

Have to say in my opinion its strange this being a first 'offence' you are being charged with common asssault.

hmm -I suggest you get legal advice now and get your brief to get copies of the Social Services reports.At this late stage its all you can do.

You should have followed Dris's advice and given all the details.
Personally, I think there will need to be more investigations made than presently have been.
