Can I work at a Caribbean Embassy here in London with a criminal record

I had a suspended sentence 5 years ago for moral turpitude. I want to work with the tourist office of the antigua Embassy, but am worried that they will do a CRB check, I not get the job, and the information be passed on to Antigua where my husband is from.
should I take a chance and apply, or wait until I move back down and work with the local tourist ministry, who may not send back to London for a CRB
