Any news on ipps

hi does any1 know if theres any news on ipps being changed yet. A mates bf told her a prison officer told him that any1 with a sentance of less than 3yrs will be released when the tarif expires without going up before a parole board.
Im trying to find out as her bf is 15 mnths over his tariff already and still hasn't done the course he needs 2 do to prove hes not a risk. My hubby was also given an ipp and we just wanna know if there will be a light at the end of the tunnel.

There is know news to date about the ipps. You need to go on various websites such as human rights etc. Have been on them because i thought my son was getting an ipp ( you only get one if you are deemed a danger to the public - it does not go on what sentence your'e looking at for that charge). The prisoons are that overcrowded that they are unable to complete the courses and are not allowed out till they do. I will find the websites i got information from and send them to you. Hope all goes ok - this sentence is abismal and a petition needs setting up and sending to parliament about it.
