i am goin 2 america nxt year and i have a caution for handling stolen goods i didnt have to go to court or anything do you reckon i will be alright?

You perhaps will be ok. Anyone entering the USA has to give certain information to the Airport they are travelling from which the US Border and Immigration have beforehand. Where they are going and staying in the USA, But take it from me, they have everything in front of them on thier computer when they are processing your passport and travel details at Immigration they will know about your caution, they did with me. They know all your past history.The UK authorities are obliged to give them your criminal details. After 9-11 espically.Your details are passed on usually without your knowledge.
Belfast bloke is talking complete and utter rubbish.

US Immigration have NO direct link to UK records.

Unless you are on the FBI's most wanted listed you'll be fine.
