Either the Met are getting soft or they are too politically constrained nowadays.
In light of recent events in Tunisia and the 7/7 bombings I would of thought at least the old common law standby "Behaviour likely to cause a breach of the peace" would of sufficed.
This lack of action IMO is giving tacit approval and legitimacy to this IS rag.

Behaviour LIKELY to cause. They should not allowed him time to find out if a fracas would of occurred.May be the coward thought he was safe with a child on his shoulder. You know. The human shield effect.

Sorry to offend you. I wasn't aware at time of posting that there were other similar OP's
As Retrocop says the offence is LIKELY to cause a breach of the peace, which in view of the present troubles with IS, i suggest he was committing.
>>>Sorry to offend you. I wasn't aware at time of posting that there were other similar OP's

> Tunisia attack: David Cameron calls for fightback against intolerance as 30 Britons confirmed dead
> The Prime Minister has called for the UK to be 'intolerant' of extremist Islam as more than 30 Britons confirmed to have died in Tunisian beach massacre
> Mr Cameron indicates that the Government is now preparing to take a far more hardline approach towards tackling extremism, as families across the country discover they have been affected by the worst terrorist atrocity to hit Britons in almost a decade.

Hopefully parading of the flag can be included in this "far more hardline approach", and soon.
retrocop, if they figured it was not likely to cause offence, they were correct; so good for them not wasting their time. Yes, I have no problems with a flag proclaiming that Allah is god and Muhammad is his messenger. I may not agree with it, but if people were arrested for disagreeing with me, AB would be empty.

No. I confess I didn't notice any similar posts or title in the" Latest posts"box all morning.
Not too much of a crime was it. :-)

Retrocop, just for info, that's where the 'Search Box' at top and bottom of site is useful, I entered "flag + big ben" pressed search and up they came!
> Yes, I have no problems with a flag proclaiming that Allah is god and Muhammad is his messenger.

Nor have I, if that's all it represented. But this was the IS flag - that's a different matter, as it represents a lot more. For example, a banner declaring Allah is god and Muhammad is his messenger could be willingly carried by any Muslim, whereas most Muslims would not be happy to carry the IS flag around ....
