Hi there

I am a PhD psychology student who conducts research about jury decision making. I am looking to come up with materials to use in future research. I am currently trying to put together a summary of a fictional criminal case in which the charge is either an assult or attempted murder. If anyone has expereince with law or think they could help in make the summary as realsitc as possible please get in touch!

Thanks

I think the most important lesson is to keep your language easily understood and acceptable to everyone, not as a Barrister did in the late fifties asking a jury “would you allow your Wife or Servants to read Lady Chatterley’s lover”
Read any of Lord Denning judgements for easily understood and acceptable language.
What do you mean by summary? Do you mean the editor's case summary which appears at the head of the law reports, before the full judgments?

Do you mean the summing up, what the judge says to the jury before they consider the verdict, a summary of the law and evidence?

It's the word 'realistic' that throws me; what real thing does it have to be like ?
