Gbh section 18 with intent

HHi everyone I would like to know if anyone has ever been convicted for section 18 with gbh intent and how long stentence they got? would be greatful for some answers and experience thanks.

Yes and served over 7 years.
What exactly happened bc it could be as low as a 4 year sentence with 50% remission on that?

Hi Nox sorry for the late reply and thanks for your answer. Basicly my partner got involved in a fight but all he did was slap the guys faces twice but his two other mate injured the person by damaging his eye socket the guy was only in hospital for a week with also some cuts to his face my partners geting his verdict for sentence on this monday coming he has no other convictions with clean backround. His solicitors been no help saying he could get up to 12 years is this true?

GBH Section 20 with intent or section 18

What is the difference? I thought ghb section 18 meant that you intended to cause GBH, then why is there a GBH section 20 with intent?
