Newspaper messed up my nans missing Cat appeal?

Hi is my nan entitled to her money back if the local newspaper messed up her expensive missing cat appeal because what seemed to look like a really bad printing eror, making half of the letters look really bright yellow and my nans mobile number impossible to read? cheers for any advice given. Kev

I would have thought so.
Did she get her cat back?
If she contacts the newspaper and explains I think there's a good chance they will reprint the advert if she wants- unless you've got the cat back already.
Have she got the cat back?

Thanks for your replies, yes the cat returned home on the morning that the paper was printed?
then they might print an actual news story that would be local interest
Well, she got the cat back which is what she hoped for when she bought the ad. She could ask for her money back but is it worth it? How much did it cost? And how can she be sure that theadvert, despite being messed up, didn't help in some way- maybe someone who had it decided to drop it off near your nan's house.
The paper will have T&C regarding this - it may be a rerun of the ad rather than a refund or they may be happy to refund

Have you tried asking them?
