Entitled to child benefit if child is in college AND work placement?

Please could anyone tell me if I will be entitled to child benefit if my daughter does hair and beauty college course alongside woek placement at a salon?

Perhaps not if your daughter were 35!
up until any child is 19 as long as they are in full time education
The Sept after thier 19th birthday if they are in education (certain types of courses do not qualify you) - they do not have to be in full time education either
Well there you go, CB can be paid until the child is 20 now
They will qualify if they are doing
GCSEs, A levels, NVQ/SVQ level 1, 2 or 3, BTEC National Diploma, National Certificate and 1st Diploma or SCE higher grade or similar
and in at least 12 hours of school per week - so yes, work placements can go alongside education
There are types of qualifications that do not count (although lord knows why!)
