Hi how is everyone, Im a 18 yr old male and the last few weeks there has been domestic violence in my house. My father threatens us saying that he is the householder etc and he has the power to kick us out. But he does not pay the mortgage or anything. Does this still mean legally just because he has his name on it and doesnt contribute to the well being of the house he can still remove me and my Mother??.

Thanks

No he cant, you & mother have just as much right to live there......if father is being aggresive or threatening ring the police. The police will investigate the complaint, arrest the father (if he's threatening) or warn him to 'keep the peace'.
No of course he can`t, seek help as soon as you can and do not continue to suffer this abuse.
Is your mothers name on the mortgage?
If he continues like this, he'll soon find out who has rights. He'll be ordered out of the house by a court because of his threats and violence. The court won't care whose name is on the deeds. It wouldn't care if it was just his name and he was paying the mortgage. You and your mother must seek help.
