Does someone have the right to sell my pony because I have fallen behind in the rent on the field of where he lives. I have recived a letter demanding payment in full in the next 7 days or they state they will sell my pony to recover my outstanding debt. what can I do as I don't have the full amount to pay?

Do you have a contract that covers your rental of the field? If not, I think that assets can be used to meet a debt, and as theyve warned you what theyre going to do Id recommend you move your pony quickly or pay up what you can!
Licenced bailiffs can seize property to pay for debts under a court order.

Contact the bailiffs immediately.
They may allow you to pay your debt in installments.

If the landlords of the field have not obtained a court order I would reccomend contacting your local trading standerds office or your nearest C.A.B.

You arent really keeping a donkey in a field
and when the landlord says where's the rent ?
you say
I cant pay - oh and by the way, you can't do anything about it!

I know landlords are evil, evil people, but come on, you are consuminng a service (grass) which cd be let out to - someone who actually pays ! - and I think well you should pay the agreed amount.

and if you cant afford to keep said horse or donkey, yes you should sell.

is this sort of unfair or what ?
Who has sent you the letter?

If it is from the landlord tell him he can not do this without first going to court.

If it is from the court baliffs then yes they can but you would have first had notice of the court action.
