Sometimes just because you can do it doent mean you should, this is one of those things I believe.
Whilst this is being done with good intentions it will lead to 'designer' babies. Actions like these always have unintended consequences.

I can understand people wanting children but not wanting to risk passing on inherited conditions, diseases, disabilities. The yearning for children can be an overwhelming, all-consuming need and I really feel for those that can't become parents for whatever reason.
Nature has a strange way of biting back, it seems. Eradicate one problem and another will pop up. I'm uneasy about it but I really don't understand any possible implications of this new science.

I don't have an issue with it. It's effectively a correction as the third parent supplies next to nothing save for just enough to avoid a devastating disease. Naturally genes tend to affect more than one aspect of an individual so the individual will need monitoring before the process can be deemed safe and moved into mainstream.
