Window Blinds Made Incorrectly

I ordered some new slats for my bathroom vertical blinds, they arrived and I checked to make sure that they were not damaged and checked paperwork for measurements and put them away whilst decorating. When I hung them they were the wrong length and on measuring they were 940mm instead of 910. I have contacted the firm and they are refusing to remake them foc because they said all complaints must be reported in 48hrs. I have sent digital photos and now it seems they have washed their hands and are expecting me to reorder. It is not the cost (around £10) but the principal. Views on this please.

If they sent something different to what you ordered I think they are wrong-
You have to decide though- is the principle worth all the hassle or should you just go elsewhere or accept it
Do you have it anywhere (in writing) about the 48 hour time limit? If so, you're on dodgy ground...if not, then you should follow it up with them. To be fair, this sort of time limit on faults/complaints is common.
If you purchased the goods from 1 October 2015 then the Consumer Rights Act applies and I thought that gave 30 days to reject faulty items.

I had nothing about 48 hrs until after I complained, they are not answering emails now, so will probably have to give in.

This suggests your rights go much further:
TOP TIPS
You have the right to reject your item and get a refund within 30 days of purchase.
You could also ask the retailer to repair or replace your item within six months of purchase.
Your rights against the retailer can last for up to six years, but the onus is on you to prove a fault was present at the time of purchase after the first six months.
You can also use your guarantee or warranty if your product develops a fault.
Two minds etc.
The OP certainly has the law on his/her side.
If it's £10 I personally wouldn't bother getting into a dispute with them they will just always keep referring back to their T & C's but whoever reads them all the way through?
I would just right it of and reorder either through them or a different company.
You may be able to resell the wrong ones, gift them to a family member or give to charity shop.
I appreciate its the principal but once you get new blinds in your bathroom you will soon forget when you are soaking in bath
You could contact them explaining your consumer rights but by what they have said to you previously they will probably ignore any correspondence use another company unless their product is unique
