as a protection against any would be muggers etc.

In my small Country Town in Suffolk, there has been a rise in assaults in the past 6 months.

One I keep in my car, and the other in my pocket and when at home kept handy.

I am fully aware that they could be illegal, but I wold rather be prosecuted in Court, than have to spend time in hospital with injuries, that could be serious.

Does anybody else have them?

Not me.
No but I wouldn't mind getting a couple. Where did you get yours?
They're classed as a firearm and can land you in jail for 5 years! Quick get rid of them!
i have an alarm( approx as big as a matchbox) when the pin is pulled it emits a really loud noise ,oh got it for me .
no. I don't think I could be bothered to carry one round with me; it's not like anyone ever even bumped into me in the street. Do they do pesto ones?
I'm like Jan

I want to know where you got them and get me one
Trt...many years ago I would take long walks late at night....I always carried one of those little plastic pepper containers in my pocket....I could ping the lid off with my thumb nail as I fired at the face of any attacker.
Season him to death is what the daughter called it.

Recently I had a scary incident in an unlit and almost empty car park.....so I have resurrected a plastic pepper pot....

Would I carry pepper spray?.....Yes.
no I haven't and no I wouldn't
Paranoia!
Never carried pepper spray but did used to carry a personal alarm at one time - also once sprayed perfume in a chaps eyes as he lunged at me on a dark street.
Once again they are a FIREARM you are in possesion of a FIREARM and those enquiring to get one may be committing a criminal offence! If you're going to get jailed for a firearm then why not get a real gun instead? Can kill/maim multiple attackers and lot more lethal then a can of pepper spray which just may anger a potential attacker instead of stopping your attacker dead in his tracks.

Now don't get me wrong if I'm in a country where firearms were legal I'd defo have a small one in my purse.

Just a had a look online and these are legal! I'm going to get one asap

Just a word of warning. The actual possession of a pepper spray is worse than possessing an illegal Sec 1 firearm or ammunition. CS gas or pepper sprays are regarded as a prohibited weapon and fall in the same category as a burst fire weapon (machine gun). Stun guns fall into the same category of prohibited weapons also and carry a higher penalty than firearms offences as I understand it. Nowadays I would feel safer with my personally owned Glock but one must adhere to the law and I had to surrender it.
I'm currently carrying a nasal inhaler stick thingy, any would be attacker will just have to jolly well wait whilst i fish it out of my pocket or bag and thrust it at them
Henrietta....I don't want to kill anyone.....I want them alive but at my mercy so I can give them a jolly good talking to.
Great idea, get a loudhailer and a pair of handcuffs gness :)
''thrust it at them''

'up' them might be better...
Hen.....I have handcuffs......and believe me.....I don't need a loudhailer....☺
no, i might want to use it again after...... :-D
You'll have a cold so you won't be able to smell anyth.... ..
maybe a taser would act just as well. or do you have to get really near to use it?
