At one side of our drive is or rather was a rockery. Over the years I have invested time and money buying plants and keeping it tidy.
Last week I came home after being out all day to find we no longer had a rockery. Mr O has dug up every single plant and removed most of the rocks. He has turfed it over so it now looks like an undulating hillside.
What has made me think he is having a midlife crisis is the fact he has bought three large ornamental sheep and put them on the grass......and he moves them into different positions on a daily basis.
Is this normal behaviour?

I just knew someone would say that! lol
Lol...no. Quite funny though.

My OH claimed he couldn't do housework as he'd turned 40 and was having a midlife crisis.
you've 'cracked' him, mrso.
Does he stand at the window looking out at them and smiling contentedly to himself?

sweaty, you could be right

eccles - yes
Well just make sure he hasn't got his hands in his pockets at the same time ;-)
What do you think was his motivation, did he mistakenly think you would be pleased?
Mrs. O, its when he buys the border collie dog and tries to round them up every night and bring them indoors that you should start to worry. lol lol
Is he Welsh? If so I'd be worried:-)

eccles, I will be watchng him like a hawk now!

Khandro, I am fairly laid back about most things so it hasn't bothered me. I do think there may have been a touch of revenge involved as I very rarely put my foot down but I did when he wanted to buy a herd of llamas or was it alpacas? (real ones!)
well at least they weren't donkeys ...
Question Author
ael, it is a good job he doesn't come on AB with you coming up with ideas like that!
I did receive a mystery email from a "Worried of Whitby" asking if his urge to buy a big motorcycle was normal ...

... my reply of "Have a sleep and think it through" may have had a slight typo in the word 'sleep' leading him to assume I was suggesting an ovine solution ...
are they ready for shearing or has he bought ready sheared? what will you do with the fleeces? you could weave them and make some cushions with the fabric or alternatively you could knit for your whole family.

he's been thinking as a family provider.
i assumed 'ornamental' meant they were not breathing
lady-j; // I think by 'ornamental sheep' Mrs O means imitation ones, rather than sheep of a rare ornamental breed.
He'll be asking you to dress up like Little Bo-Peep next.
Cory....how do you know he doesn't already do that?.... ;-)
