Does anyone know how much roughly the salary would be of someone working in estate agents... the person who would show people around the properties and sort out mortgages, etc.

It is very variable - involving a lowish base salary and a lot of earnings potential based on commission on sales.

As BM said ^....my nephew worked for basic pittance with commission on sales - goal posts moved regularly so's to reduce income.

My local estate agent (part of a large chain) has a job advertised for a "sales advisor". Salary is �12.5-14K.
