Jobs involving animals or music

I left school at 15 and did basic GCSE's at college and thats unfortunatly where my education ended. I have since been working in a music shop which I very much enjoy - but only because I love music. I am looking for suggestions no jobs in either fields or websites I can visit which has info on all jobs and what qualifications I would need. I can only think of the obvious, vet etc...

You could train to be a vetinary nurse or assistant or join as a receptionist and see if you can learn on the job for a bit and see how you go.

Maybe even volunteer and see how you like it?

You could go for a job in a petshop or grooming parlour or rescue centre.

As for music, do you play anything that you could study to teach?

Entry into the veterinary profession is even harder than getting into (human) medicine. You'd need at least 3 grade-A 'A'-levels in maths and science. (Even if you could get 4 starred-A grades, there'd still be no guarantee of acceptance onto a university course).

As Jenna suggests, you could try to become a veterinary nurse but again there's a great deal of competition for places on the relevant courses. See here for details:

There are very few full-time jobs available which involve music (except those which require a great deal of advanced study, such as an orchestral player). Why not learn (or brush up your skills on) a suitable musical instrument and seek to join a local band, playing local gigs? You'll probably not make a fortune out of it but the best semi-pro bands get plenty of work and I'm sure that you'd get a great deal of satisfaction from performing.

Thanks for your answers guys, when I say music I mean the industry not an instrument or being in a band - thats really not my thing.
