Hi becky
There are many topics that could be raised which could also be dependant on the area of speciality that the post is for. Possible subjects could be
- cleanliness, infection control
- your attitude to providing fully inclusive care, ie. how you feel about catring for patients who may have HIV, criminal convictions, lifestyles you are uncomfortable with (this is all about equality and diversity) and so on
- handling hazardous waste, urine, faeces, blood products
- providing personal intimate care
- confidentialty
- scenarios of how you would deal with situations such as a patient collapsing, an agressive patient, a confused patient.
These types of questions, when asked, do not require a text book answer. They are devised to see that you have enough common sense to act efficiently and that you have a good attitude to caring, and then you will receive the appropriate inductuion and training when you get the job.
Hope it goes well.

As mifta says the questions are to test your common sense, make sure you mention that you would report everything to the nurse in charge.Or if you were asked something by a patient or relative that you couldn't answer you would tell them you would get someone who could discuss it with them, and tell the nurse in charge Good luck
