Summer Jobs - August

Anyone know of anywhere that could offer a summer job to a 17 year old student for just August?

If you live anywhere near Edinburgh, there'll be hundreds of jobs going at the various venues hosting the Fringe, Book, Film, International and Jazz and Blues Festivals. I suggest you have a look there.

if you live on the coast, you could get a job at the beach serving food etc. it's not great but is good for the money and the weathers always good in august, you're likely to be working 'semi'-outside!

You could try your local pub to see if they need a glass washer, or a local restaurant for washing up. Not very glamorous but they may need extra help over the summer when some of their normal staff may be on holiday. Will bring in a few pennies. Not only that but if if you're any good they may offer you work at other times, eg Christmas, New Year.

If you like manual work you could try your local coucil to work in their parks & Gardens department maintaining their garden's during the summer or try your local golf courses
