If you have twins (or other multiples) born either side of midnight, are their births registered as different days?

If so, if that midnight is August 31st would they have to start school in different years, or are concessions made?

My nephew & niece twins, were born a few minutes apart, either side of midnight on the 15 & 16th Jan.

This has never intefered with their schooling or anything else, as far as I'm aware.

Yes, the twins would have different birthdays. I went to school with twins born a few minutes apart ~ one before midnight, one just after.

As for schooling, I suppose this would be up the school's discretion. After all, with the way term times start one twin would end up starting school 3 months before the other. This wouldn't apply to a January birth, but you are right to worry as these are summer cut-off points.
