Hi everyone
I`m an Asian girl who`s gonna apply to Germany and study sociology there for about 2 years. I`m 23 and I want to find a job as soon as I get there because I have to pay for living (rent,food,transport...).
Could you please tell me what kind of job I can get in Germany? How much can I earn per month?
And the main question: what ability or skill should I have to get a well-paid job not relevant to my major in Germany?

You need to remember that, if you enter Germany on a student visa, you're only permitted to work for a maximum of 120 days per year (although you can split that into 240 half-days for part-time work).

For most types of work in Germany, the most obvious qualification required is to be able to speak fluent German. Can you? (If not you're going to be largely restricted to jobs such as cleaning work).

You'll also be limited in the times of day when you're available for work. (i.e. you can't take on jobs where you need to be attending lectures at the same time as your employer requires your services). So that's likely to mean that you'll be working in the evenings and/or at weekends. The types of job that are easiest to get into during those hours are probably mainly those within the hospitality industry, such as bar work. You won't need any formal qualifications for such work but, if you're to be able to understand the order of a drunken customer using colloquial German in a noisy nightclub you'll definitely need to be fluent in the language.
I have no idea what Germany values, but suspect sociology may not be particularly well paid. Things that help create profit tend to be most valued. Plus creation and tech skills.
The ten most frequently sought jobs in Germany:

Software developer and programmer
Electronics engineer, electrician
Healthcare worker and nurse
IT consultant, IT analyst
Economist, business administrator
Account manager, client consultant
Production assistant
Sales representative, sales assistant
Sales manager, product manager
Architect, structural engineer

part-time jobs are
bar tender/waitress.
Industrial Production Assistants
Library assistants in college campus

Most of them don't look for skills German language is a must to get most part-time jobs in German.
