Why Would Anyone Buy Used Pop Sox?

On ebay there are worn, used and even trashed pop sox on sale. I am asking why would anyone buy them? For example there are a pair of trashed pop sox bid up so far to £9.50 and with postage of £3!!!!

Funny story is that yesterday I had a couple of camcorder tapes in the kitchen and I told my 7 year old grandson I was taking them in to work to see if anyone wanted them.
