Haven't we got the same security risk here in the UK?
No TTT...just the horror of meeting Sqad !
Aww he's actually a sweetie (and probably wouldn't go to the Costas if you paid him).
I am sure he is Prudie, and I would love to have a glass or two with him !

But isn't Menorca a Costa ?
I wouldn`t go there anyway but if I was planning to, the threat wouldn`t make any difference. You can get blown up on any beach (or anywhere else) in the world.
No Mikey, the Costas are accepted as specific coastal areas on mainland Spain that have that as their name - Costa Brava, Costa Blanca, Costa del Sol etc, there are lots.
Menorca is a Balearic island, not a Costa ...

///But isn't Menorca a Costa ?///

Brilliant! ☺

No a Costa is like a Starbucks.
Thanks Prudie...I thought Costa had now become had now become a generic term for a Spanish Resort.

For everybody else...if IS were to mount a terror campaign in Spain, why would they distinguish between resorts on the mainland, and resorts on popular but off-mainland resorts ?

How about ease of access with mainland targets for starters?
Might be more dangerous in Washington
The fact they can drive there might be a factor (would be a lot harder to get suicide vests on a plane or ferry) or is that daft thinking?

As thinking goes, that's pretty good Prudie.

It's only 8.9 miles from Morocco across the Strait of Gibraltar !

'nough trouble finding Nemo!!
The waters there are ferocious av Pillars of Hercules and all that. Plus no one is getting into Gib from the sea.
Prudie...you may very well be right, but if these Terrorists come all the way from the Middle East, as many of our anti-refugee Ab'ers would have us believe, crossing borders would have little fear for them.

But perhaps it would be useful, at this point, to know what exactly TTT meant when he used the phrase "Costas"
