Judge Masipa is covering all angles. She'll probably get flack whatever the sentence.
She has just said there has been over emphasis on his vulnerability and that he copes very well with his disability. I agree.

He will be protected if he goes to prison.

I don't see any reason he would be treated any differently to other prisoners (by fellow prisoners), it's not like he is a sex offender or child murderer.

Does South Africa have open prisons? I think there's something of a class system operates in the prisons here in the UK the same might be true there.
