night worker

I have worked permanent nights for the past 25 years within the public sector and my hours 28.06 work out to 3 nights a week. My employer is now wanting the night staff to work the 3 shift system of mornings, afters and nights. This is something I really don't want to do I want to stay on nights !! My hours don't even amount to day shifts so not sure how this will work. Can this be enforced and just what rights do I actually have if any. Looking forward to everyones advice and thanks in anticipation

Happened to me not to long ago, except I was on a double day shift and my company decided they wanted myself and a few other guys to go on 3 rotating shifts. The company told us what they intended to do and gave myself and the other guys involved a letter stating this. The start of the 3 shift system was to start 13 weeks after receipt of the letter. I believe that by law who ever you work for has to give 13 weeks notice.
my answer is on your other thread.
