I am filing in a new job application form which asks 'of two persons from whom we may obtain professional references one being your current employer'

So i'll put down my current company but I am struggling with the other!

I left school & joined a office traing company who placed me at my current job. Now 10 years on the traing company has since disapeared so I cant use them.

I have been with my current employer these past 10 years and have not had any other job. I haven't done any other training since or voluntary work.

About a year ago my company was sold as a going concern so do you think the original owners of the company will do as a reference?

I cant think of anyone else to submit - help!

Thanks

you can use anyone that you work with I assume, as long as they are allowed to gove one by your HR dept and as long as they base the reference on your working relationship and not as a friend. Some firms do not allow anyone but the HR dept to give reference4s and so check first if that is ok,

I agree with Dot, I would have thought anyone you worked with was able to give you a refernce. If you can talk to the person who was your boss, they might tell you who else you can ask. I am sure the the company you are applying to will understand your situation.
