It all depends where you live, what others are charging in the area, what you'd be doing (ie ironing as well) I've googled about and the rate is between 8 - 12 per hour.
Around here, in Suffolk, any job that pays much more than the current National Minimum Wage (5.73 per hour) is quite unusual. (For example, there's currently an advert for a shop manager with full responsibilities for staff rotas & supervision, book-keeping, VAT returns, keyholder duties, etc, offering just 5.83 per hour).

Most cleaning jobs (in private homes) are offered at 5.80 to 6 per hour, with a small number of vacancies paying up to 7 per hour.

Depends on the size of the house, the area and what tasks are expected prendi. Some cleaners won't touch baths, for instance, or clean shower cubicles. Others won't do cooker tops. Ours get 10 an hour, and this includes changing beds if necessary, but they have a set time limit. People who do ironing charge 8 per 7lb load. If you don't mind this type of work, you could earn more than working in a shop or bar. best of luck.
