whats the ruiling on pay at christmas (i know its a long way but i heard people talking at work) and on bank holidays, some people say it is 3 times the normal hourly rate! people last yr said they just got same wages for working CHRISTMAS DAY, what can i do if this happens?

There is not statutory obligation for an employer to pay any salary multiplier for working Christmas Day. You will need to see what (if anything) is written into your terms and conditions of employment. If nothing is defined, expect to be paid no extra, but a holiday day in lieu.
