Hi, We live right on the boundary of 2 local authorities (Tameside and Oldham). We applied for our youngest son to go to the same school as our eldest son at the school in Oldham and today is the day that OMBC send the letters out informing parents of school places. As we live in Tameside we have been told we have to wait another 2 weeks until TMBC send their letters out before we find out if our son has a place at the school in Oldham. Both councils claim that they dont have access to the information and that they canot share any info due to Data Protection. There are only 20 places available at the school and there are 12 other siblings that I know of applying. How quickly does the appeals process move? We are a bit concerned that if other parents havent got a place they are going to be 2 weeks ahead of us in appealing.

appeals are dealt with on a case by case basis, I would wait until you receive a letter until you make your next decision.
