Last year our insurance was 750 fully comp we are 23m and 22f with 2 years no claims on the next renewal. I just cant seem to get our insurance quote lower than 800 which seems really odd as we have got 1 extra years no claims this year.

any help would be appreciated cheers....

Whatever you do - steer clear of elephant/admiral/ or anyone else in the EUI Group.

i have just had a total loss with admiral and they were great.....providec courasy car... for 2 weeks for free untill i srted a new car out, and then they agreed to reijnsure me for £37 for the next three months.....just needed to reactiveta teh policy
wow, excuse the spelling
Have you moved to a different area ? Some areas can bequite highly rated event though they are very "respectable" - the problem can be that car thieves and vandals got o the nice areas for easy/rich pickings. It is also possible that a spate of car crimein your area could hav changed the insuirers view of it from one year to the next.
oops - sorry about the dodgy typing - key board sticking again !
Try other sites such as http://confused.com , http://theycompare.co.uk , http://comparethemarket.com etc you maybe able to find cheaper car insurance.
I don't think I've ever had my insurance go down, and I have over 20 years no claims.
The trouble is taht your ages are against you, both being under 25, although even when you reach that magic figure the insurers will say that it doesn't make you a better driver.

You don't say whether the vehicle is the 80 or 100 bhp model, which affects the insurance group, together with any modifications or extras, which will add to the loading.

At a cost of £800 you will be paying approximately a quarter of the car's value in premiums annualy, therefore you should consider insuring Third Party Fire & Theft and trust that you don't have to make any own fault claims.
Fair point Twix but ot if car is on HP or other type of contract which may require Comp cover. At their age the difference in premium may not be that great as the main concern is the damage they may do to others rather than the cost of their car.
The average renewal of motor insurance has risen on average by 15 to 25%. Take that into account and you will find that your quote is in line with that.

We are all paying for uninsured drivers and greedy insurers.
Strangely fully comp can be cheaper than third party or TPFT.

If you want to risk total loss, go for fully comp with a high excess. It was cheaper for me, and you get windscreen insurance.
