Hi I was in a car accident that was deemed my fault because i was the last car however i got told i couldnt make a claim for personal injuries on my car insurance, although i had fully comprehensive insurance. Although not serious at the time, I am now unable to work due to long term effects of head injury. Someone has now told me I can make a claim... who is telling the truth? SSmith08

i dont think you can claim off your own insurance for personal injury, especially if the accident was your fault. Otherwise poor people would be crashing their cars in order to get money. I would have thought your car insurance people would have the final word on what you could claim for, so what did they tell you?

I dont really understand what you mean by being "the last car" but i dont have to i suppose - its all down to your insurance company
bednobs is right - you claim for personal injuries when they have been caused by another person's negligence or criminality.

You would be suing yourself and it is not allowed.
